Downtown Portland’s Clean & Safe unveils new website

Website serves as a resource for downtown businesses, visitors, workers and residents.

Jun 29, 2012

Portland, Ore. – Clean & Safe Inc. launched a new website today, which serves to further brand the Clean & Safe District as one of the oldest, largest and most successful business improvement districts in the nation. The website provides information and statistics about the district’s services and resources for downtown businesses, visitors, workers and residents.

"The Clean & Safe board is so proud of all the work that’s accomplished every day in the district,” said Dave Williams, chair of the Clean & Safe board and vice president of utility services at NW Natural. "This new website is a way to highlight that work as well as the efforts and capabilities of all our partners.”

Completed by Cascade Web Development, the new website was developed to provide a range of information about the Clean & Safe District, which encompasses a 213-block area of downtown. Businesses within this area pay a fee to raise money that supplements publicly-financed services for neighborhood improvement including cleaning, security, community justice services, market research and retail advocacy.

The district is managed by the Portland Business Alliance under the direction of the Clean & Safe board of directors and Clean & Safe information was previously housed on the Alliance website. The new website features its own distinct Clean & Safe brand, updated monthly service statistics, a twitter feed, information about news and downtown events, photos of the district by Joni Photo and much more.
